Tip 15: What Meat to Eat for Weight Loss

When you’re trying to lose weight it’s important to choose the type of meat you eat wisely. The different types of mean can be divided up into three categories:

  1. Fatty meat
    Fatty meats include sausages, chicken skin, chops salami, burgers etc. These types of meat clog up your arteries and will make you put on weight. Don’t eat these types of meat very often, if at all.
  2. Red meat
    Red meat includes steak, roast lamb/beef, ground beef and some types of bacon. These types of meats may hinder your weight loss efforts. They are good for you heath, but you must eat them sparingly. 3-5oz, twice a week is plenty.
  3. White meat and fish
    This includes chicken breast, lean turkey breast, fish and turkey bacon. These meats are very good for you. They’re very high in protein, low in fat and easy to digest. You should eat around 100 grams of these types of meats per day.

So there you have it. Try to eat white meat and fish every day, keep your red meat to a few servings per week and try and cut fatty meat out of your diet all together.
